Over the next few weeks, there will be a series of live online bitesize sessions to support the delivery of outdoor learning in early years. These sessions will include practical advice as well as examples of outdoor learning and play experiences from practitioners across Highland. These sessions are a re-run of the outdoor play and learning sessions delivered in September and October 2020 but will feature some additional content. These sessions are aimed at all staff working in the early years.
This first session will be an introduction to outdoor learning in early years, sharing the context of outdoor learning in the current educational climate. The session will be led by staff from the Early Years Education Support Officer team and will also feature input from practitioners within ELC and early primary settings as well as staff from the Psychological Services Home Visiting team. The session will take place over Microsoft Teams on Thursday the 18th of February from 4pm until 4.45pm.
