Upcoming Highland Early Years Vision Sessions

**The cut off date for applications to join a session is tomorrow**

The Future Vision for Early Years in Highland

On the 10th, 11th and 12th of May a series of sessions will take place to construct a Vision for Highland which will guide future development in every Early Years setting.   The Scottish Government’s ambition is for Scotland to be the best place for children to grow up in and learn.  Highland also has this ambition and we need to consider how we can realise this through our own unique context.

These sessions give everyone a chance to join in the conversation and have their voice included.

Each session will include:

  • The Early Years national context explored with Anne Paterson OBE, Education Scotland
  • The Early Years Highland context explored with Early Years Education Support Officers
  • The National Standard that all settings must meet as a minimum to ensure quality
  • Breakout room discussions to identify the priorities for Highland’s Vision

To take part, join a session.  The sessions will take place at 10am, 3.30pm and 6pm on the 10th and 11th of May for all Highland Council staff working in Early Years, Partner staff, Childminders and Allied Health Professionals.  Staff can sign up to attend through Highland CPD http://bit.ly/EarlyYearsVision
