Personal Care Plans

It is an expectation within the Health and Social Care Standards (Care Inspectorate) that each child will have a personal care plan with input from parents/carers and staff. These plans are in place to meet the health, welfare and safety needs of each child in the setting.

Personal Care Plans should be completed by both parents/carers and EYPs within 28 days of the child beginning to attend the setting.  These must be reviewed as and when required and updated with parents/carers at least every six months.

Some settings are already using their own Personal Care Plan format.  Settings may wish to use the Highland Council Personal Care Plan found below.
