Open University free online course ‘Identifying and responding to additional support needs in early learning and childcare’

The Open University are running a free online 12 hour course on additional support for learning in the early years, that the they have produced on behalf of the Scottish Government. This course for Scottish practitioners is about building confidence in identifying and responding to additional support needs of children.

The course runs over six weeks and includes a free live 1.5 hour webinar with a speech and language therapist including the chance to reflect on the impact of Covid on our practice and young children. You can work flexibly at your own pace.

Whatever your level of experience and knowledge and whatever early learning and childcare setting you work in, you will find content in the module that will help you to reflect and develop your understanding of what you can do to get it right for every child in Scotland.

Study at your own pace and gain a digital badge to record in your Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) Post Registration Training and Learning.

The next course is open to join now with a webinar on Monday 17 January, 7pm.
