Managing an ELC Setting – New Sessions!

All new and acting HTs, DHTs, PTs and new managers of ELC settings are invited to attend 3 forthcoming sessions on Managing an ELC setting.

The first 2 of these sessions will take place via Teams on Wednesday 13th November and Thursday 5th December from 4.00pm – 5.00pm. Places can be booked through the Highland CPD Website where a link for each session can be found.

If you have experience in managing an ELC setting, you are also welcome to attend for a ‘refresher’.

These sessions will be delivered by EYESOs and will explore many of the practical tasks of managing an ELC setting which will support high quality provision including:

  • Inspections in ELC settings
  • Use of ELC management time
  • Quality Assurance and monitoring
  • Planning in ELC
  • Personal Planning
  • Self-evaluation
  • Family engagement
  • Blended Placements

The Childcare Managers will be delivering a third session on operational matters in ELC so please look out for details which will be coming soon.
